Regulation
1) Competition
The Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge is a competition based on Assetto Corsa Competizione simulation software organised by Bentley Motors Limited, Fanatec and Kunos Simulazioni Srl. The competition is divided in 2 different phases:
- Hot stint competition online;
- Beat the best time recorded online at the Sim Racing Expo 2021 Fanatec Booth.
The best time recorded during the online competition will be considered the point of reference for the on-site competition at the Sim Racing Expo 2021 Fanatec Booth. On-site participants have the chance to beat the best hot stint time recorded during the online phase.
The first phase is available for everyone, the second one is reserved for Drivers who have already turned 18 years old, defined as having lived 18 full years. No Driver shall be considered eligible to participate in the Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge - on-site competition - before his or her 18th birthday, defined as having lived 18 full years.
The organiser reserves the right to ask and check Drivers documents (ID, passport or driving license) in order to make sure that every participant complies with the above mentioned requirements. In case of an evident breach of the rules mentioned in this rulebook the organiser reserves the right to remove or ban any Driver from the Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge.
2) Victory
At the end of the online competition and based on the overall standings of the Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge leaderboard, the top 3 Drivers of the online event will receive the following prizes:
1st place: Fanatec Bentley Wheel;
2nd place: Voucher on Fanatec store;
3rd place: Bentley Collection gift.
The first, second and third Drivers will be contacted by the organizer in order to receive the prizes.
3) Participation
3.1 Online phase
In order to participate in the Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge Drivers are required to:
- own Assetto Corsa Competizione (PC platform) on Steam;
- register for the event at this link;
- Internet connection;
- have a driver profile in game with real Name and Surname;
- join the Special Event inside Assetto Corsa Competizione, named “Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge”;
- Save the replay of the hot stint session;
- Save the telemetry of the hot stint session.
After the conclusion of the hot stint qualifier, the pole sitter Driver on the leaderboard is required to send the replay and the telemetry files of the hot stint session to: esport@akinformatica.it
Failing to comply with the above mentioned rule will result in the disqualification of the Driver from the event leaderboard. The organiser reserves the right to select the runner-up driver from the leaderboard as replacement.
In case the organiser finds out one or more irregularities in the replay file and / or telemetry files sent by a Driver, the organiser may disqualify or ban the Driver from the entire competition.
3.2 On-site phase
Drivers who participate at the on-site phase need to:
- Provide to the staff a valid personal document (ID, passport or driving license);
- Follow and respect all the instructions provided by the staff on-site;
- Each Driver will have 1 attempt to record the hot stint time;
- Each attempt lasts 10 minutes;
- After a Driver finishes the hot stint session the time will be recorded by the staff
- It’s forbidden to plug any personal or third parties hardware components into the computers reserved for the competition;
- Each competitor will have 5 minutes to setup the car before the 10 minutes countdown starts.
4) Territory
4.1 Online phase
The Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge will be held online and Drivers from all around the world can register for the competition.
4.2 On-site phase
The second phase of the competition will be held on-site at the Sim Racing Expo 2021 Fanatec Booth.
5) Special Event Details
5.1 Online phase
Goal: set the fastest lap time
- Car: Bentley Continental GT3
- Track: Nurburgring GP
- Daytime: 2:00 pm
- Driving Assists: TC/ABS (No stability control, No ideal line, No automatic gearbox)
- Setup: no restrictions
5.2 On-site phase
Goal: set the fastest lap time
- Car: Bentley Continental GT3
- Track: Nurburgring GP
- Daytime: 2:00 pm
- Driving Assists: TC/ABS (No stability control, No ideal line, No automatic gearbox)
- Setup: no restrictions
6) Hot Stint - Dates & Times (all times are CEST)
6.1 Hot Stint online
- Nurburgring GP: from September 8th (09:30) until September 15th (18:00).
6.2 Hot Lap on-site at SimRacing Expo
- Nurburgring: dates and times TBA
*dates and times may vary in case of technical issues. The system has backup recovery protection.
7) Driver Eligibility
7.1 Driver
A “Driver” is any person who is registered through the official website during the Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge or participates during the on-site competition. Drivers who would like to take part in the online competition must be registered before the end of the event (15th September) in order to record their fastest hot stint and be eligible to score a valid time. Drivers must meet the following requirements in their entirety to be eligible to compete. Drivers who do not meet these requirements will be deemed ineligible and will be removed from the Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge.
The organiser reserves the right to investigate Driver information when eligibility is in question. Drivers should be prepared to provide a copy of personal identification or other applicable documents to verify that these requirements are met.
7.2 Driver Names
Driver Names may not contain any of the following: Obscene or suggestive language, Corporation, company, sponsor, product, or services names Kunos Simulazioni, 505 Games, Bentley, Fanatec, Bentley Fanatec Sim Time Attack Challenge or any shorthand of the aforementioned Bentley derivatives that may cause confusion during gameplay.
The organiser reserves the right to restrict or change Driver names for any reason.
7.3 Changing Gamertags
Drivers who attempt to change gamertags during an active series may not be able to participate in the event. It is important that drivers do not change their gamertags during an active event to avoid confusion
